Corporate Partnerships

India is a diverse and vast nation that needs to still go a long way in ensuring universal education for all, especially for the underprivileged sections of the society. There are several challenges for facilitating infrastructural support for basic education in rural areas. The Government, NGOs, and Corporate firms need to integrate their efforts for bringing quality education to the remote areas.

The TJH Foundation understands that collaboration of diverse stakeholders is essential for ensuring fulfilment of its core objectives. It thus actively seeks to involve organizations and businesses that are concerned about rural empowerment and looking to contribute funds. These contributions are generally diverted to diverse causes under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

CSR demonstrates a consistent commitment of businesses to work with ethics by making a financial contribution to the development of the society, especially for the unprivileged sections. This also helps in maintaining their business quality by the creation of long-term value for stakeholders and policyholders.

The Foundation regularly organizes awareness campaigns in Bengaluru City for IT Companies and diverse associations and aims to increase the involvement of Corporate firms and other associations for expanding the reach of its initiatives to more number of project areas. We thus regularly conduct campaigns that seek to enhance their awareness regarding the ground realities of the education system in rural areas.

We understand that Corporate level initiatives can play a huge role in bridging the gaps in existing education projects for remote areas in India. This ranges from infrastructure facilities, enhanced resources, and assistance to technological support. The larger objective is to achieve greater awareness of the rural communities regarding their rights and their self-empowerment.

The corporate funds are being diverted for a range of activities. We endeavor to utilize these funds for the enhancement of the system of education for rural areas through constant and critical spending. The strategic investment of funds from the Corporate firms can vitally strengthen the access to quality education in rural areas by complementing the efforts of the Foundation.

CSR funds are vital in enhancing the infrastructure and support for quality education in remote areas. The Foundation seeks broader and active involvement of the companies in urban areas for achieving its mission on a massive scale. This is to realize the ultimate vision of providing quality education to all the children in rural India and making them self-reliant.

However, CSR initiatives must address long-term strategy across the system for transforming the education sector in rural India. The Foundation provides the latest authentic data to the companies on trends and gaps that can help them in perceiving the exact social needs and identify appropriate opportunities for making contributions. The companies must make informed decisions given the quantum of CSR funds involved.

Along with the focus on providing scholarships, books, and constructing classrooms, CSR initiatives must also pay attention to supporting organizations or processes with obvious, easily quantifiable learning outcomes. They also need to widen their focus on communication for behavior change that has been largely neglected so far.

Initiatives aimed at providing accessible opportunities for quality education will empower the children to grow into well-educated youth. This will result in building a valuable pool of human resources for society. It will not just aid the growth of rural regions through enhanced employment opportunities but will also help the nation in balanced and holistic development.
