The knowledge, experiences, skills, and other forms of resources of the Volunteer community can assist in a big way. This is to achieve the maximum possible impact on the transformation of the lives of underprivileged children in rural India.


Volunteering stands for a commitment to offering willing service. A volunteer is an individual who can perform crucial work in service projects as per the abilities and gifts. The majority of the volunteers perceive a profound correlation between their values and the service. They are prompted for service owing to the values and principles that guide them.


Volunteering is not only a service but is also a fundamental option. It is a way of life that inspires self-sacrifice for a higher purpose.

The general public is capable and enthusiastic to offer service for diverse causes that motivate them. Some of them are highly qualified and utilize professional skills for service without any expectations.


The TJH Foundation recognizes Volunteering as a practical and powerful medium for reaching out to the children from the most marginalized sections for reducing disparities in education. We believe that sustainable transformation is possible only when people come forward – either as national or local citizens.


Empowerment and inclusion of marginalized communities can be realized in a much greater way. This is by enabling the communities and people to play a highly active role in social transformation, sustainable development, and Nation Building overall. Volunteering at its core is a very powerful expression of the development approach that is people-cantered.

Strategic Actions


Identifying, Engaging, and Retaining Volunteers:


The Foundation will design processes and systems to recognize, engage, and maintain volunteers. We will widely expand the avenues and find satisfying, interesting, and challenging opportunities for volunteers. This will ensure their emotional, mental, and physical involvement. Our initiatives will increasingly accommodate the volunteers to enable them to contribute to sustainable social transformation for the marginalized children.


Ensure values of best practice and constancy in supporting volunteers:


Volunteers will be prompted in undertaking dedicated actions through quality support and facilitation from time to time. With this purpose, we will develop and refine standard processes regularly.


Recognize and commemorate volunteers:


The Foundation will undertake meaningful engagement with the volunteers that it identifies and celebrate their participation and involvement.


Moreover, we have diverse informal and formal contacts with several professional bodies and associations. We will endeavor to strengthen the implementation of our focused measures by forming a tripartite collaboration between them, the Foundation, and its volunteers.
