Our Work

In our country, many children experience various forms of violence, exploitation and abuse. They are forced to work, stay out of schools, trafficked into prostitutions, subjected to corporal punishment and forced into early marriage etc...

Girl children are even vulnerable to condition like violence, exploitation and abuse. Some of the major reasons found for girls leaving school early and the decline in their education are the economic conditions of family, households, cultural and social practices and prevalence of child marriage.

Children in such circumstances have their rights denied in the most fundamental way.

All these are preventable with right inputs, guidance and support. Other issue gets associated with early marriages, early pregnancy which is a substantial health risk and high possibilities of bearing more children, which can further aggravate the poverty level of the family. The health of girls who are sexually exploited is also at high risk as they are more likely to contract life threatening diseases.

The JoinHands works to create protective and supportive environments in which both girls and boys are safe from violence and exploitation, their rights are protected and each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
