The latest ASER – Annual Status of Education Report reveals that the dropout rate of school students in rural India is 25% even before them attaining the age of 11 years. The lack of stationery aid and learning materials is the chief cause for this amongst diverse other factors.
Restricted access to universal quality education is a major challenge for development when it comes to remote areas in India. Lack of awareness amongst the communities and poverty are the major factors resulting in the non-attendance of schools by children in these areas.
