School Shoes Distribution Program

The school-going children in rural India are often from the marginalized sections of society. It is not possible for their parents to afford just a pair of shoes too. A pair of school shoes will help in enhancing the hope and self-esteem of these children though may not be a solution to all the issues faced by them.

The unprivileged children in remote areas often walk to their schools uncovered feet even devoid of footwear. Several times they also contract an infection that seriously endangers their health. It is because of the infection or fungus that these children contract during their barefoot school journey.

A pair of shoes will ensure that the feet of the children are protected from infection and injuries. Moreover, it is a delight to behold these children in full uniform when they attend schools happily.

The TJH Foundation regularly conducts distribution of school shoes for the underprivileged students in its project areas. Several thousands of children in rural areas have been supported through these distribution campaigns.

We organize diverse distribution programs focusing on the deprived rural school-going children. School shoe distribution is a successful initiative for safeguarding their feet on their school journey. Moreover, they are also less likely to skip schools when dressed in full school attire. They can walk with self-esteem with their fellow privileged peers.

The children from marginalized families will remain fit and feel happier by having a pair of school shoes. It will also reduce the monetary burden on their parents who can feel dejected for being unable to afford the shoes.
